What Is Emilio Sakraya Known For?

Emilio Sakraya is a German actor and musician whose screen work includes Warrior Nun, Tribes of Europa and the action film Sixty Minutes. Born in Berlin, he began working as a child. Cineuropa’s career profile and interview traces his early film roles and his move into international streaming productions.

In Sixty Minutes, released in 2024, he plays Octavio, a mixed martial arts fighter racing across Berlin to reach his daughter’s birthday. The role draws on his martial arts experience. In Netflix’s account of the production, director Oliver Kienle describes the extensive training Sakraya and co-star Marie Mouroum undertook for its action scenes.

Music is another part of his career. His debut album, Roter Sand, appeared in September 2020. Acting and recording give him different ways to perform: one involves creating characters within a story, while the other places his voice at the centre of the work.
