Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Christopher Thompson, is an American comedian and actor best known for building jokes around unusual props, visual gags, and his distinctive red hair. Rather than relying only on spoken punchlines, he turns everyday objects and homemade inventions into part of the performance.

Thompson began performing stand-up while attending Florida Atlantic University. His early routines gradually developed a strong prop-comedy style, which helped him stand out from traditional comedians. He became widely known through television appearances, late-night comedy shows, and live performances. His act often combines observations about daily life and popular culture with exaggerated objects that make the joke visible as well as verbal.

Carrot Top has also worked in film and television, but live comedy has remained central to his career. Since 2005, he has performed a long-running residency at the Luxor in Las Vegas. His career shows how a performer can build a recognizable identity by combining comedy with a distinctive visual style, creative stage objects, and a willingness to make the performance look different from a standard stand-up show.

M istletoe is a plant which grows on branches of higher trees. It is a partial parasite since it has green leaves containing chlorophyll and can make its own food by photosynthesis. It takes the water and minerals it needs from the sapwood of the host tree. It is found growing on trees like apple, hawthorn, willow, poplar and lime . The seeds of mistletoe are spread by birds and once the seed germinates on the host tree, it develops haustorium . The haustorium is a tough structure and ensures of a regular supply of water and nutrients from the sapwood of the host to the mistletoe. The plant then develops a clamp like structure on the tree to be placed firmly.
