Where was the Pizza Invented?
It was
Naples in Italy, where pizza began as a dish for poor people. At first, they were made of bread
with cheese,
basil,
salt and pepper.
Tomatoes were
added only after the discovery of America. Pizzas were made long before that. But because
pizza is
known throughout the world as a dish with tomatoes, it is more correct
to look
upon it as an Italian-American invention.
