Where is Antarctica?

The Antarctica is a continent that surrounds the South Pole. It is a vast cold region with harsh climatic conditions. Very few animals can live in the freezing conditions there. These animals have large amounts of fat or fur to protect them. Some of these animals are penguin, seal, cormorant, skua, etc. Nearly all the land in the Antarctica is covered by ice

cap except for few mountain ranges. This ice cap is about 2,500 metres thick and at some places it is up to 4,700 metres thick.
