What is a Manx Cat?

The Manx cat is a tail-less cat found mainly on the Isle of Man, a small island about 30 miles long and 20 miles wide, situated in the Irish Sea near England. The Manx cat is a common household pet there. It has a hollow at the end of its backbone and has very thick or double coat. Its hind legs are longer than those in front and so it runs in a very peculiar hopping motion.
