When was the First Motor Car Built?

The first cars came on the roads in the 1880s and were known as 'horseless-carriages'. The invention of petrol engine made it possible to have motor cars. Gottlieb Daimler of Germany made the first car fitted with a petrol engine in 1886. Henry Ford was a pioneer in establishing the world's first car factory. He rolled out his first car in 1896. By building his cars out of standard parts, he was able to turn out hundreds a day. His cars were cheap and could be afforded by many people.
