When did Buses First Appear on Roads?
People
in
the medieval times hardly used to travel from home. By 1700s,
they started
travelling in stagecoaches pulled by horses. But this bumpy ride for long journey was
very uncomfortable.
By 1800s,
railways were
preferred fore long
journeys and
horse drawn buses
for short
distances.
The horse
drawn buses were
soon taken
over by trams, which
were buses
running on rails
through streets.
These continued
to be
used till 1900s when motor
buses were
made. Buses are an important means of transport in today's world.
