Why do We Feel Weightless in Space?

The Earth pulls everything downwards with a force known as gravity. It keeps objects on the Earth's surface and prevents them from floating away. It gives the objects, their weights. This gravitational pull gets weaker as we move away from the Earth.

In space, the force of gravity has very little effect and so is the pull from other planets, since they are also far away. Without the force of gravity, objects in space do not have weight and hence are weightless.
