Who Made the First Skyscraper?

A high building with many floors is called a skyscraper. The first skyscraper was built in Chicago in the United States in 1883. It was the Home Insurance building and had ten floors. The skyscraper was built by William Le Baron Jenney. It was built on a frame of iron and steel beams which made it lighter and stronger. The building has now been demolished.
