Who Discovered Gravity?

Things fall on the ground because they are pulled down by a force called gravity. This was first discovered by a British scientist, Sir Issac Newton (1643-1727). He is said to have realized this when he saw an apple fall on the ground. He made this discovery in 1665 and wondered if the Earth's gravity was forceful enough to pull moon towards itself. He worked hard to prove this and twenty years later was able to prove this law known as the universal law of gravitation.
