Why is the Sky Blue?

We get the light from the Sun. The sunlight looks white, but is actually a mixture of seven colours namely violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red. When the light from the Sun pass through the atmosphere, some rays are scattered by the dust particles suspended in the air. Blue rays are scattered most and reach our eyes from all angles. So we see more blue than any other colour and this makes the sky look blue.
