What is a Hardware?

Hardware is the physical part of a computer system that enables us to operate it. It includes keyboard, screen, disk drives and electronic circuits. The first electronic computer which was built in 1945, weighed 30 tonnes and occupied a space of 140 sq metres. It contained more than 18,000 valves. Modern computers are compact and powerful and fit on a desktop.
